Do you use social media, or does social media use you?
If you open social media and watch a video just because the algorithm wants you to see it, you’re not a social media user; social media is using you.
TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook algorithms are the worst. We don’t use them the way we use YouTube.
We often visit YouTube, search for something, and then watch the best video or our favorite creators.
On the other hand, we visit Facebook, see some interesting videos (which have nothing to do with our lives) in the feed, and just watch them, followed by another unnecessary video.
The same goes for TikTok and Instagram Reels. We just swipe up and see short videos that the algorithm wants us to see.
The worst part?
All these things are addictive — highly addictive. We know we’re wasting our time on Facebook, yet we still open it multiple times a day.
I disable the Facebook app on my phone almost daily. I like to watch Nas Daily videos, and sometimes I enable Facebook to post content from my page.
But whenever I forget to disable Facebook, I open it and waste a lot of time just because the Facebook algorithm is addictive.
The algorithm knows exactly what will boost your dopamine.
Any kind of addiction is bad, and social media addiction is the worst.
So, make sure you use social media; don’t let social media use you.
You can be a creator and earn money.
You can use social media to grow your business or learn new things.
Furthermore, you can run social media ads to generate leads and boost sales of your online or offline business.
You can also use social media to share your thoughts and experiences and make a positive impact.
Don’t let social media feed your brain with unnecessary knowledge. Don’t let social media spoil your life; instead, use it to make your life better.
